Two days of excitement

Had sports day yesterday and it was quite fulfilling. I betrayed my house and ran with a flag for another house. hahah. then ran a class race. grr.. got 4th, cos some pple miss passed. ahh well too bad. If it happens, it happens. Nothing ain't gonna change it. Anyway the most exciting part was definately the Tug-o-war between teachers and students. we were scrutinizing every action of mong's. She just had to include herself in everything, talking to anyone in sight, and ever so careful to place her sandals out of harms way. She was totally the highlight for sports day. Oh yah, i played SQUASH!! in all of my 17 years, me the mountain tortoise have never stepped into a squash court. hahah sports is cool...

An AJ idol has been crowned!!! Hazlami's the winner. ok i talk as if i know him like tt. i don't. But he sang well, and i voted for him. Then there were theseother distractions which kept me entertained some of the time. (wait, i'm lying, it's all of the time) i shall not say what though. lol All in all, the ending was bittersweet. din noe wat to feel at the end of aj idol. just glad to have went for the aj idol.

I was walking home happily when i horribly remembered " i have a competition tommorrow!!!"

Formula One

Race is back on, the latest san marino race was great. Although shumi didn't do well for his qualifying rounds, and ended up at the 13th starting position, he managed to get 2nd in position!!! I repeat 2nd!!!. Do have any idea how hard that is?? like super x100 hard. I'm thoroughly convinced that he is the only man that can achieve tt. From 13th to 2nd!! gosh. The race had me biting my lips and clutching my cushion. no joke. It was just how exhilarating it was. Michael schumacher is back! Ok some of you maybe raising your eyebrows(till it disappears into your hair), cos you think car racing is a total bore. 64 rounds of zooming around, probably sounding like mosquitoes too. But it's not just about driving fast. Oh no, there is strategy involved, calculations and all that, not to forget the all-so-cool driving overalls. drools.

Allow me to digress, my dad scolded me for watching such a guy-ish sport. w-h-y? Why cannot watch? Are sports too catagorized for males and females? like wtf, makes no sense to me. Ok you may argue that all the current racers are male, but hey, the world is changing everyday. As already overly emphasised, we must think open and creative. Rigid ideas will hav to make way for the new. you never know, there may be female racers one day. like how cool is that?

Cca's becoming a twice weekly affair which i really hate. I take back my anticipation on new juniors coming in. They kind of irritate me. Especially the one with the last-month-of-the-year name. ack.. Imagine seniors being commanded by a junior and you'll understand why. Anyway i don't give a damn anymore. What play, what competition, like wateva. nobody gives a hoot about it.

Let me now blog on smth that is long overdue. Last week,i met up with a bunch of ex-student-care friends. It was so interesting to see everyone again. There was a strong nostalgic feeling within me. Cos it has really been say, 5 yrs or more since we've seen each other. Then now we hav all grown up, each taking our different paths, travelling our different routes. Yet somehow we hav managed it. We stayed in contact. Never changing, still missing the good old days. While waiting at the bus terminal with them, i had this sudden surge of emotion. After years, we are back where we started. Although not quite the same, we are still friends. I question if fate and destiny plays a part in our seemingly insignificant lives. Does fate have a larger plan.

I shout from the top of the mountain "I love my Childhood"

Remembering the pope

"Pope John Paul II was buried on friday 8 april in what was surely the most-watched event in human history."

I just watched a documentary on the late pope, and was very much enlightened. There is so much that we don't know abt this holy man. I had people asking me who this 'guy' was and why so many people were crying because of his death. Then there were others who merely stated his role was to "grant forgiveness" to those who believe. Our lack of understanding of the world have not given the man due credit for his contribution in the political world. Although i myself am not a catholic, i salute him for his courage in voicing out to world leaders what he believes in, even in the face of opposition. To Bush, he emphasised strongly against war. He believed that under no circumstances should war be considered as a solution. Also he helped make possible the falling of the Berlin wall, meeting with dictators, stressing the importance of freedom and human rights, even sending a messanger to saddam before the iraq war advising him to not give america any reason to declare war. The first pope to say prayers in an islamic mosque. He called for the unity for all man not only the catholics. He is a man who touched many, and will be remembered in history.
